Terms and Conditions for Moving Services

1. WORKING HOURS START AND END

Working time begins when our employee departs from Sörnäisten rantatie 21 and ends when they return.

Minimum working time:
• One worker: 2 hours
• Two workers: 3 hours

We call the customer before departure so they know the exact starting time. Billing starts from this moment.

2. SCHEDULE CHANGES

We reserve the right to make schedule adjustments. Changes may be caused by:

• Roadworks, traffic conditions, or equipment failure
• Possible delays from previous moves

Any delays will be communicated to the customer as soon as possible.

Our workers usually arrive within 30 minutes of the agreed time.
If the delay exceeds 2 hours, the customer is entitled to a maximum of 10% compensation from the total moving price.

3. MEETING OUTSIDE

To ensure a smooth moving process, we recommend that the customer meets the movers outside and shows the correct entrance.

If you're unsure whether the front door or the courtyard-side door is better for carrying items, please check with the movers before the moving truck is driven to the door. This helps avoid unnecessary driving and speeds up the process.

4. PACKING

We only move properly packed items. If items are not adequately protected, they are at risk of damage.
If the customer still wants us to carry unprotected items, responsibility transfers to the customer.

This applies to items such as:

• Overfilled boxes that cannot be stacked
• Furniture without corner protection
• Glass cabinets, ceiling lights, and other fragile items without proper padding

Workers have the right to refuse moving unprotected items.

The customer must also ensure the apartment is safe for moving:

• Low-hanging chandeliers, mirrors, and paintings must be protected
• Built-in mirror doors should be covered (e.g., with corrugated cardboard)
• Cabinet doors must be secured for transport

5. BREAK RIGHTS

Workers are entitled to:

• A 10–15 minute drink break every two hours
• A 30–45 minute meal break after five hours of work
(The meal break is not included in billable working time and is deducted from the total.)

6. PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is made at the moving location immediately after the move unless otherwise agreed.

Invoice for companies

If the customer has no cash available when the payment must be made, we will go together to the ATM. This time counts as working time.

Invoicing must be agreed in advance.

The customer always receives a receipt on paper or as a PDF by email.

7. WORKING TIME CALCULATION

Working time starts when the employee leaves Sörnäisten rantatie and ends when they return there.

The return time from the moving site is estimated together with the customer.
If needed, navigation can be used to confirm the exact travel time.

8. DAMAGE COMPENSATION

If our workers damage the customer’s property, we will compensate the damage.
However, if the customer participates in lifting or loading, or the items are packed not properly- we cannot take responsibility for any damages.

9. INSURANCE

We have valid transport insurance and liability insurance for third-party damages.

10. DAMAGE INSIDE BOXES

If items inside a box are damaged but the box itself is intact, we cannot take responsibility.
This means the items were not packed correctly.

11. CUSTOMER PRESENCE

The customer must supervise the move.
If items must be left outside temporarily, the customer is responsible for monitoring them.

Responsibility for belongings lies primarily with the customer.

If items are inventoried and a furniture list is created, the movers can take responsibility.
In that case, the movers must be given the list and must confirm, by checking and signing, that they have received the items.

12. NO ALCOHOL

If the customer is intoxicated, we may refuse to perform the move.
In such cases, we will still charge the estimated price of the move.

13. CANCELLATION TERMS

• Cancellation more than 3 days before the move: No fee
• Cancellation 3 days – 24 hours before: 25% charge
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before: 50% charge
